Bahnson Mechanical Systems (BMS) traces its roots back to 1915 starting as Normalair Company to sell and manufacture a newly developed electric centrifugal humidifier to the textile industry. In 1929 the name was changed to the “The Bahnson Company” and today, Bahnson Mechanical Systems continues the rich legacy of the Bahnson name.

Today BMS is a major facility services provider offering a broad range of HVAC and full mechanical services to virtually every market segment within the U.S. Our capabilities and services include engineering and design, installations (including ductwork and piping), controls, filtration systems, service and systems maintenance with a specific emphasis on “mission critical” facilities and facility mechanical maintenance. Applications range from highly specialized industrial systems for the precise control of temperature, humidity and cleanliness to traditional commercial HVAC.

Environmental Specialties (ES) designs and manufactures a diverse product line of controlled environmental chambers throughout a wide variety of industries. Various standard and custom sizes serve as walk-In cold rooms & freezers including ultra low freezers and vaccine storage chambers. Walk-In environmental rooms include temperature and humidity chambers, warm rooms, incubators, ICH stability rooms and shelf life study chambers. HEPA filtered clean cold rooms, clean warm rooms, growth chambers, shelf lighted rooms, dry rooms and low humidity dry rooms are also included in our walk-in environmental chamber series. Custom walk-in environmental room applications include test chambers, cascade low temperature freezers for critical long term storage, and archival storage rooms and vaults.

Reach-in environmental chamber models serve as ICH stability chambers and shelf life study chambers. Reach-in photo stability chambers meet ICH Q1B for Option 1 and Option 2. Reach-in Incubators, growth chambers, and temperature & humidity chambers provide for product testing or storage. Custom reach-in refrigerators and freezers are included in our reach-in environmental chamber series.

Intermech, Inc. is a national union mechanical contractor providing engineering, fabrication and installation for projects requiring the highest levels of quality assurance, safety awareness, craft skills, financial stability and construction management.  Our core fabrication and installation work includes all classes and types of piping and HVAC systems.  In addition, we support our mechanical installations by performing industrial general contracting activities based on a client’s needs and requirements.

Intermech’s project capabilities range from process intensive industrial facilities to specialized mechanical installations for the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of Energy facilities.  Our project contract values range in size from less than $1 million to over of $75 million.  Project work is performed throughout the United States and always embraces the Intermech culture of safety, quality and best value.
